الترجمة الإنجليزية
He said: Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Zubayri told us: Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Ghasil told us, from Hamzah ibn Abi Usayd, from his father, and from Abbas ibn Sahl, from his father, both of whom said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by us with some of his companions, so we went out with him, until we set off toward an orchard called al-Shawt, until we reached two walled gardens of it, and we sat between them. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, 'Sit here,' and he went in — for the woman of [the tribe of] al-Jawn had been brought to the house of Umaymah bint al-Nu'man ibn Sharahil, and with her was a nursemaid of hers. When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, entered upon her, he said, 'Give yourself to me [in marriage].' She said, 'Would a queen give herself to a commoner?' She said, 'I seek refuge in Allah from you.' He said, 'You have indeed sought refuge with One who grants protection.' Then he came out to us and said, 'O Abu Usayd, clothe her with two garments of Raziqiyyah cloth and send her back to her people.' He said: And someone other than Abu Ahmad said: 'A woman from Banu al-Jawn called Umaynah.'
