حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ مَسْلَمَةَ يُطَارِدُ امْرَأَةً بِبَصَرِهِ فَقُلْتُ تَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا وَأَنْتَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِذَا أَلْقَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي قَلْبِ امْرِئٍ خِطْبَةً لِامْرَأَةٍ فَلَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yazid b. Harun narrated to us: al-Hajjaj b. Artah informed us, from Muhammad b. Sulayman b. Abi Hathmah, from Sahl b. Abi Hathmah, who said: I saw Muhammad b. Maslamah following a woman with his gaze. I said, "You look at her, while you are a Companion of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him?" He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'If Allah, Mighty and Majestic, places in a man's heart the intention of proposing to a woman, there is no harm in his looking at her.'"
