قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو فَضَالَةَ الْفَرَجُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ يُصَلِّي فِي مَسْجِدِ دِمَشْقَ فَبَزَقَ تَحْتَ رِجْلِهِ الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ عَرَكَهَا بِرِجْلِهِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قُلْتُ أَنْتَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَبْزُقُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ قَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hashim narrated to us: Abu Fadalah al-Faraj narrated to us: Abu Sa'd narrated to us: I saw Wathilah b. al-Asqa' praying in the mosque of Damascus, and he spat beneath his left foot and rubbed it with his foot. When he finished, I said, "You, a Companion of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, spit in the mosque?" He said, "This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, do."
