حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا حَبَّةَ الْبَدْرِيَّ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ لَمْ يَكُنْ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ إِلَى آخِرِهَا قَالَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَأْمُرُكَ أَنْ تُقْرِئَهَا أُبَيًّا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأُبَيٍّ إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُقْرِئَكَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ قَالَ أُبَيٌّ وَقَدْ ذُكِرْتُ ثَمَّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَبَكَى أُبَيٌّ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Affan narrated to us: Hammad b. Salamah narrated to us: Ali b. Zayd informed us, from Ammar b. Abi Ammar, who said: I heard Abu Habbah al-Badri say: When [the verse] "Those who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture..." to its end, was revealed, Gabriel, peace be upon him, said, "O Messenger of Allah, your Lord commands you to recite it to Ubayy." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Ubayy, "Gabriel, peace be upon him, has commanded me to recite this surah to you." Ubayy said, "Was I mentioned there, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Yes." He said: So Ubayy wept.
