قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنِ الْأَقْرَعِ بْنِ حَابِسٍ أَنَّهُ نَادَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْحُجُرَاتِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَا إِنَّ حَمْدِي زَيْنٌ وَإِنَّ ذَمِّي شَيْنٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَمَا حَدَّثَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ذَاكَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Affan narrated to us: Wuhayb narrated to us: Musa b. Uqbah narrated to me: Abu Salamah b. Abd al-Rahman narrated to me, from al-Aqra' b. Habis, that he called out to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, from outside the private chambers, saying "O Messenger of Allah," but the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did not answer him. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, indeed my praise is an adornment and my censure is a disgrace." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said — as Abu Salamah related — "That is Allah, Mighty and Majestic."
