الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yunus b. Muhammad and Affan narrated to us: Abd al-Wahid — that is Ibn Ziyad — narrated to us: Uthman b. Hakim narrated to us: My grandmother al-Rabab narrated to me — and Yunus said in his version — she said: I heard Sahl b. Hunayf say, "We passed by a flood-stream, and I went in and bathed in it, and came out feverish. That was reported to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, 'Tell Abu Thabit to seek refuge in Allah.' I said, 'O my master, are incantations permissible?' He said, 'There is no incantation except for poison, venomous sting, or bite.'" Affan said: the evil eye, the bite, and the sting.
