حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ الْعَطَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ طَبَخَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قِدْرًا فِيهِ لَحْمٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاوِلْنِي ذِرَاعَهَا فَنَاوَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ نَاوِلْنِي ذِرَاعَهَا فَنَاوَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ نَاوِلْنِي ذِرَاعَهَا فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ كَمْ لِلشَّاةِ مِنْ ذِرَاعٍ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ سَكَتَّ لَأَعْطَتْكَ ذِرَاعًا مَا دَعَوْتَ بِهِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Affan narrated to us: Aban al-Attar narrated to us: Qatadah narrated to us, from Shahr b. Hawshab, from Abu Ubayd, that he cooked a pot containing meat for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Hand me its foreleg." So I handed it to him. He said, "Hand me its foreleg." So I handed it to him. He said, "Hand me its foreleg." I said, "O Prophet of Allah, how many forelegs does a sheep have?" He said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, had you kept silent, it would have given you a foreleg for every time you asked."
