Yazid narrated to us: Kahmas narrated to us: Sayyar b. Manzur al-Fazari narrated to me, from his father, from Buhaysah, who said: My father sought permission of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and began to draw close to him and embrace him, then said, "O Prophet of Allah, what is the thing that it is not lawful to withhold?" He said, "Water." Then he said, "O Prophet of Allah, what is the thing that it is not lawful to withhold?" He said, "Salt." Then he said, "O Prophet of Allah, what is the thing that it is not lawful to withhold?" The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "That you do good is better for you." She said: His statement stopped there, at water and salt. She said: And that man would withhold nothing, however little.
