حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ زُرْعَةَ بْنِ جَرْهَدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الصُّفَّةِ قَالَ جَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَأَى فَخِذِي مُنْكَشِفَةً فَقَالَ خَمِّرْ عَلَيْكَ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الْفَخِذَ عَوْرَةٌ.

Ishaq ibn Isa narrated to us: Malik informed me from Abu al-Nadr, from Zur'ah ibn Jarhad al-Aslami, from his father - who was one of the People of the Bench - who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, sat down and saw my thigh uncovered, and said: Cover yourself; do you not know that the thigh is [part of] the private area?
