He said: I said: Yes. He said: What is your wealth? He said: From every kind of wealth - horses, camels, slaves, and sheep. He said: When God, Mighty and Sublime, gives you wealth, let it be seen upon you. Then he said: Do your people's camels give birth with sound, unslit ears, and then you take the razor and slit them, saying 'these are bahirah,' and slit their hides, saying 'these are surum,' thereby forbidding them to yourself and your family? He said: I said: Yes. He said: All that God, Mighty and Sublime, has given you is lawful for you; and God's arm is stronger, and God's razor is sharper - and perhaps he said it, and perhaps he did not, and perhaps he said: God's arm is stronger than your arm, and God's razor is sharper than your razor. I said: O Messenger of God, a man I stayed with did not offer me hospitality or honor me, then he stayed with me - should I offer him hospitality, or repay him as he did? He said: Rather, offer him hospitality.
