حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ سَعْدٌ عَنْ بَيْعِ سُلْتٍ بِشَعِيرٍ أَوْ شَيْءٍ مِنْ هَذَا فَقَالَ سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ تَمْرٍ بِرُطَبٍ فَقَالَ تَنْقُصُ الرَّطْبَةُ إِذَا يَبِسَتْ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ فَلَا إِذَنْ.

Sa'd was asked about selling hulled barley for regular barley. He said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) was asked about selling dried dates for fresh dates, and he said: 'Do the fresh dates decrease when they dry?' They said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Then no.'
