حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عِيَاضٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يُجْلَسَ بَيْنَ الضِّحِّ وَالظِّلِّ وَقَالَ مَجْلِسُ الشَّيْطَانِ.

Bahz and Affan told us, they said: Hammam told us - Affan said in his hadith: Qatadah told us, from Kathir, from Abu Iyad, from a man among the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade sitting between sunlight and shade, and said: "That is the sitting-place of Satan."
