حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبَّادِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ الْعَابِدِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصُّبْحَ فَاسْتَفْتَحَ سُورَةَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ ذِكْرُ مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ أَوْ ذِكْرُ عِيسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ شَكَّ اخْتَلَفُوا عَلَيْهِ أَخَذَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَعْلَةٌ فَحَذَفَ فَرَكَعَ قَالَ وَابْنُ السَّائِبِ حَاضِرُ ذَلِكَ.

Rawh told us: Ibn Jurayj told us: I heard Muhammad ibn Abbad ibn Ja'far say: Abu Salamah ibn Sufyan, Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As, and Abdullah ibn al-Musayyab al-Abidi informed me, from Abdullah ibn al-Sa'ib, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, led us in the dawn prayer and opened with Surat al-Mu'minun. When the mention of Musa and Harun came - or the mention of Isa, Muhammad ibn Abbad was uncertain, and they differed about it - a coughing fit seized the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, so he cut short the recitation and bowed. He said: and Ibn al-Sa'ib was present for that.
