Affan told us, Hammam told us, Qatadah told us, from Abu al-Khalil, from Abdullah ibn al-Harith, from Hakim ibn Hizam, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "The two parties to a sale have the option as long as they have not separated." He said: I found in my father's book: "the option [applies] three times" — "if the two are truthful and make things clear, they may hope to gain a profit, but if they lie and conceal, the blessing of their sale will be erased."
