حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الْمَوَالِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي مُلْتَحِفًا فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ وَرِدَاؤُهُ مَوْضُوعٌ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ تُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ وَرِدَاؤُكَ مَوْضُوعٌ قَالَ لِيَدْخُلَ عَلَيَّ مِثْلُكَ فَيَرَانِي أُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي هَكَذَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Sa'id, freedman of Banu Hashim, told us, Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi al-Mawal told us, Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir told us, who said: I entered upon Jabir ibn Abdullah while he was praying wrapped in a single garment, with his cloak set aside. We said to him: You are praying in a single garment with your cloak set aside? He said: So that someone like you would come in and see me pray in a single garment; I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) pray like this.
