حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَفَاءَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خَيْبَرَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَقَرَّهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَمَا كَانُوا وَجَعَلَهَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَبَعَثَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ رَوَاحَةَ فَخَرَصَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُمْ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْيَهُودِ أَنْتُمْ أَبْغَضُ الْخَلْقِ إِلَيَّ قَتَلْتُمْ أَنْبِيَاءَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَكَذَبْتُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَلَيْسَ يَحْمِلُنِي بُغْضِي إِيَّاكُمْ عَلَى أَنْ أَحِيفَ عَلَيْكُمْ قَدْ خَرَصْتُ عِشْرِينَ أَلْفَ وَسْقٍ مِنْ تَمْرٍ فَإِنْ شِئْتُمْ فَلَكُمْ وَإِنْ أَبَيْتُمْ فَلِي فَقَالُوا بِهَذَا قَامَتْ السَّمَوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ قَدْ أَخَذْنَا فَاخْرُجُوا عَنَّا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn Sabiq told us, Ibrahim ibn Tahman told us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, that he said: Allah, Mighty and Majestic, granted Khaybar to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, as a spoil, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, let its people remain as they were, and made it a shared arrangement between him and them. He sent Abdullah ibn Rawahah, who assessed its produce for them, then said to them: O assembly of Jews, you are the most hateful of creatures to me - you killed the prophets of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and lied against Allah - but my hatred for you does not drive me to treat you unjustly. I have assessed twenty thousand loads of dates; if you wish, it is yours at that assessment, and if you refuse, it is mine. They said: By this, the heavens and the earth stand firm. We accept it, so leave us be.
