Musa told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, that Bannah al-Juhani informed him that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by some people in the mosque, or in a gathering, drawing a sword among themselves and passing it hand to hand unsheathed. He said, "May Allah curse whoever does that! Did I not forbid you from this? When you draw the sword, let the man sheathe it, then hand it over in that manner."
