حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا أَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَفْضَلُ الْجِهَادِ مَنْ عُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ وَأُرِيقَ دَمُهُ فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ نَعَمْ.

Musa told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, from Abu al-Zubayr, who said: I asked Jabir, "Did the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say that the best jihad is that of one whose horse is hamstrung and whose blood is shed?" Jabir said, "Yes."
