Musa ibn Dawud told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, from Abu al-Zubayr, that he asked Jabir about the arrival at the Basin. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "On the Day of Resurrection we will be upon a hill above the people, and the nations will be called along with their idols and whatever they used to worship, one after another. Then our Lord, Mighty and Majestic, will come to us after that and say, 'What are you waiting for?' They will say, 'We are waiting for our Lord, Mighty and Majestic.' He will say, 'I am your Lord.' They will say, 'Not until we see Him.' He, Mighty and Majestic, will then manifest Himself to them, laughing, and will give every person among them, hypocrite and believer alike, a light, while darkness will cover the hypocrite. Then they will follow Him, the hypocrites among them, over the bridge of Hell, which has hooks and thorns that seize whom it wills. Then the light of the hypocrites will be extinguished, and the believers will be saved. The first group to be saved, their faces like the moon on the night of the full moon, seventy thousand, will not be called to account. Then those following them will be like the brightest star in the sky. So it continues until intercession becomes permissible, and they intercede, until whoever said 'there is no god but Allah' is brought out - even one in whose heart is the weight of a grain of barley - and he is placed at the courtyard of Paradise, and the people of Paradise sprinkle water upon them until they sprout like a thing sprouting in a flood, and their scorch marks vanish. Then he asks Allah, Mighty and Majestic, until He gives him the whole world and ten times its like."
