حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يَقْعُدَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى الْقَبْرِ أَوْ يُقَصَّصَ أَوْ يُبْنَى عَلَيْهِ.

Hajjaj told us, Ibn Jurayj told us: Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbid that a man sit upon a grave, or that it be plastered, or that a structure be built over it.
