حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَطْعِمُهُ فَأَطْعَمَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسْقَ شَعِيرٍ فَمَا زَالَ الرَّجُلُ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ هُوَ وَامْرَأَتُهُ وَوَصِيفٌ لَهُمْ حَتَّى كَالُوهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ لَمْ تَكِيلُوهُ لَأَكَلْتُمْ مِنْهُ وَلَقَامَ لَكُمْ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hasan told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, Abu al-Zubayr told us, from Jabir, who said: A man came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, asking him for food, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, gave him a large measure of barley. The man kept eating from it, he and his wife and a young servant of theirs, until they measured it. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "If you had not measured it, you would have kept eating from it, and it would have lasted for you."
