حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ نِدَاءَ الصَّلَاةِ فَرَّ بُعْدَ مَا بَيْنَ الرَّوْحَاءِ وَالْمَدِينَةِ لَهُ ضُرَاطٌ.

Hasan told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, Abu al-Zubayr told us, from Jabir: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When the devil hears the call to prayer, he flees to a distance equal to that between al-Rawha and Medina, breaking wind as he goes."
