حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ حَسَنٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ امْرَأَةُ بَشِيرٍ انْحَلْ ابْنِي غُلَامَكَ وَأَشْهِدْ لِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ ابْنَةَ فُلَانٍ سَأَلَتْنِي أَنْ أَنْحَلَ ابْنَهَا غُلَامِي وَقَالَتْ وَأَشْهِدْ لِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَلَهُ إِخْوَةٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ فَكُلَّهُمْ أَعْطَيْتَ مِثْلَ مَا أَعْطَيْتَهُ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَلَيْسَ يَصْلُحُ هَذَا وَإِنِّي لَا أَشْهَدُ إِلَّا عَلَى حَقٍّ.

Abu al-Nadr and Hasan ibn Musa told us, they said: Zuhayr told us, Abu al-Zubayr told us — Hasan said in his narration, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, he said: The wife of Bashir said: "Grant our son your slave-boy as a gift, and have the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, witness it for me." He said: So he came to the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: "The daughter of so-and-so asked me to grant her son my slave-boy as a gift, and she said, 'Have the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, witness it for me.'" He said: "Does he have brothers?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Have you given all of them the same as you gave him?" He said: "No." He said: "Then this is not proper, and I will not witness except to what is right."
