حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ قَدْ أَيِسَ أَنْ يَعْبُدَهُ الْمُصَلُّونَ وَلَكِنْ فِي التَّحْرِيشِ بَيْنَهُمْ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Mu'awiyah and Ibn Numayr told us, they said: al-A'mash told us, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said - and Ibn Numayr said in his narration: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say - "Satan has despaired that those who pray would worship him, but he works at sowing discord among them."
