حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ السَّمَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ الْعِجْلِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي رِمْثَةَ التَّيْمِيِّ، تَيْمَ الرِّبَابِ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعِي ابْنِي فَأَرَانِيهِ إِيَّاهُ فَقُلْتُ لِابْنِي هَذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخَذَتْهُ الرِّعْدَةُ هَيْبَةً لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ إِنِّي رَجُلٌ طَبِيبٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ أَطِبَّاءَ فَأَرِنِي ظَهْرَكَ فَإِنْ تَكُنْ سِلْعَةً أَبُطُّهَا وَإِنْ تَكُ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ أَخْبَرْتُكَ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ إِنْسَانٍ أَعْلَمَ بِجُرْحٍ أَوْ خُرَاجٍ مِنِّي قَالَ طَبِيبُهَا اللَّهُ وَعَلَيْهِ بُرْدَانِ أَخْضَرَانِ لَهُ شَعَرٌ قَدْ عَلَاهُ الْمَشِيبُ وَشَيْبُهُ أَحْمَرُ فَقَالَ ابْنُكَ هَذَا قُلْتُ إِي وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ قَالَ ابْنُ نَفْسِكَ قُلْتُ أَشْهَدُ بِهِ قَالَ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَجْنِي عَلَيْكَ وَلَا تَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Rimthah al-Taymi, of the Taym al-Ribab tribe, narrated: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with my son. He showed him to me, and I said to my son: "This is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)." My son began to tremble out of awe for the Messenger of Allah. I said to him: "O Prophet of Allah, I am a physician from a family of physicians. Show me your back. If it is a growth, I shall cut it out, and if it is something else, I shall inform you. For there is no person more knowledgeable about wounds or abscesses than I." He said: "Its physician is Allah." He was wearing two green garments, and he had hair that was showing signs of greying, and his grey hair was reddish. He then said: "Is this your son?" I said: "Yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah." He said: "Your own son?" I said: "I bear witness to it." He said: "Indeed, he shall not bear your burden, nor shall you bear his."
