حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الرَّجُلُ يُحِبُّ الْقَوْمَ وَلَا يَبْلُغُ عَمَلَهُمْ قَالَ الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ.

'Affan and Abu Kamil told us, they said: Hammad told us, from Thabit, from Anas, that a man said: "O Messenger of God, a man loves a people but does not reach their level of deeds." He said: "A man is with whom he loves."
