حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَسْمَرَ وَلَمْ أَشُمَّ مِسْكَةً وَلَا عَنْبَرَةً أَطْيَبُ رِيحًا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

Khalaf ibn al-Walid told us, Khalid told us, from Humayd, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, was of a brown complexion, and I never smelled any musk or ambergris more fragrant than the scent of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him.
