Abd al-Samad told us, 'Umarah told us, from Thabit and Abd al-Aziz, from Anas, who said: I served the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, for ten years, and he never said about anything I did, "Why did you do that?" Nor did I ever touch anything softer than the palm of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, nor did I ever smell any perfume more fragrant than the scent of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him.
