حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ أُمَّ أَيْمَنَ بَكَتْ حِينَ مَاتَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقِيلَ لَهَا تَبْكِينَ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي وَاللَّهِ قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَيَمُوتُ وَلَكِنْ إِنَّمَا أَبْكِي عَلَى الْوَحْيِ الَّذِي انْقَطَعَ عَنَّا مِنْ السَّمَاءِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
'Affan narrated to us, Humayd narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas ibn Malik: that Umm Ayman wept when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, died. It was said to her, "Are you weeping?" She said, "By Allah, I indeed knew that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would die, but I only weep over the revelation that has been cut off from us from heaven."
