حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ نَفَرًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لَا أَتَزَوَّجُ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ أُصَلِّي وَلَا أَنَامُ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَصُومُ وَلَا أُفْطِرُ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ قَالُوا كَذَا وَكَذَا لَكِنِّي أَصُومُ وَأُفْطِرُ وَأُصَلِّي وَأَنَامُ وَأَتَزَوَّجُ النِّسَاءَ فَمَنْ رَغِبَ عَنْ سُنَّتِي فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Mu'ammal narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, Thabit narrated to us, from Anas: that a group of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said—one of them, "I will not marry," another, "I will pray all night and not sleep," and another, "I will fast continuously and never break my fast." This reached the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, "What is the matter with people who say such and such? But I fast and break my fast, I pray and I sleep, and I marry women. Whoever turns away from my sunnah is not of me."
