حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهُ يَا عَلِيُّ إِنَّ لَكَ كَنْزًا مِنْ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّكَ ذُو قَرْنَيْهَا فَلَا تُتْبِعْ النَّظْرَةَ النَّظْرَةَ فَإِنَّمَا لَكَ الْأُولَى وَلَيْسَتْ لَكَ الْآخِرَةُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It was narrated from `Hadrat Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated to him: “O `Hadrat Ali, you have a treasure in Paradise and you are with two harns of this ummah. Do not follow one glance with another; you may be allowed the first but not the second.”
