حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ومُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالُوا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ يُسَلِّمُونَ عَلَيْنَا فَكَيْفَ نَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالَ قُولُوا وَعَلَيْكُمْ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yazid told us: Shu'bah informed us, and Muhammad ibn Ja'far — Shu'bah told us — he said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Anas ibn Malik, that the companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, "The People of the Book greet us with salaam — how should we return their greeting?" He said, "Say, 'And upon you.'"
