حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ رُخِّصَ لِلزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ فِي لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ لِحِكَّةٍ كَانَتْ بِهِمَا قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَقَالَ رَخَّصَ لَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

Waki' told us, Shu'bah told us, from Qatadah, from Anas, who said: A dispensation was given to az-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam and Abd ar-Rahman ibn Awf to wear silk because of an itch they had. Shu'bah said: And it was said that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, gave them this dispensation.
