حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ شَكَوْنَا إِلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ مَا نَلْقَى مِنْ الْحَجَّاجِ فَقَالَ اصْبِرُوا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَأْتِي عَلَيْكُمْ عَامٌ أَوْ يَوْمٌ إِلَّا الَّذِي بَعْدَهُ شَرٌّ مِنْهُ حَتَّى تَلْقَوْا رَبَّكُمْ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ نَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
'Abd al-Rahman told us, from Sufyan, from al-Zubayr, that is Ibn 'Adi, who said: We complained to Anas ibn Malik about what we were suffering from al-Hajjaj, and he said, "Be patient, for no year or day will come upon you except that the one after it will be worse than it, until you meet your Lord, Mighty and Majestic; I heard this from your Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him."
