حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ وَفْدًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ قَدِمُوا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ مَعَهُمْ رَجُلًا فَقَالُوا ابْعَثْ مَعَنَا رَجُلًا فَقَالَ أَبْعَثُ مَعَكُمْ أَمِينَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ فَبَعَثَ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ الْجَرَّاحِ قَالَ أَبِي وَفِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ابْعَثْ مَعَنَا رَجُلًا يُعَلِّمُنَا فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ فَقَالَ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَمِينٌ وَهَذَا أَمِينُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Mu'ammal told us: Hammad told us: Thabit told us, from Anas, that a delegation from the people of Yemen came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he wanted to send a man with them. They said, "Send with us a man." He said, "I will send with you the trustworthy one of this nation." So he sent Abu 'Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah. He said: My father said, and in another place: they said, "O Messenger of Allah, send with us a man to teach us." So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, took the hand of Abu 'Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah and said, "Every nation has a trustworthy man, and this is the trustworthy man of this nation."
