حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ مُسْلِمٌ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الْجَنَّةَ ثَلَاثًا إِلَّا قَالَتْ الْجَنَّةُ اللَّهُمَّ أَدْخِلْهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا اسْتَجَارَ مِنْ النَّارِ مُسْتَجِيرٌ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ إِلَّا قَالَتْ النَّارُ اللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْهُ مِنْ النَّارِ.

Aswad ibn Amir told us, Yunus - meaning Ibn Abi Ishaq - told us, from Burayd ibn Abi Maryam, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "No Muslim man asks Allah, Mighty and Majestic, for Paradise three times but Paradise says, 'O Allah, admit him into Paradise,' and no one seeks refuge from the Fire three times but the Fire says, 'O Allah, grant him refuge from the Fire.'"
