Aswad ibn Amir told us, Sharik told us, from Amr ibn Amir al-Ansari, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: We asked him about performing ablution for every prayer, and he said, "As for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he used to perform ablution for every prayer, but as for us, we used to pray the prayers with a single ablution."
