حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ بَعَثَتْهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقِنَاعٍ عَلَيْهِ رُطَبٌ فَجَعَلَ يَقْبِضُ قَبْضَتَهُ فَيَبْعَثُ بِهَا إِلَى بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِهِ وَيَقْبِضُ الْقَبْضَةَ فَيَبْعَثُ بِهَا إِلَى بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِهِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَأَكَلَ بَقِيَّتَهُ أَكْلَ رَجُلٍ يُعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ يَشْتَهِيهِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Anas reported that Umm Sulaim sent him to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) with a tray of fresh dates. He would take a handful and send it to one of his wives, and take another handful and send it to another wife. Then he sat and ate what remained, eating like a man who clearly desired it.
