Ibn Abi Adiyy narrated to us from Humayd, from Anas, who said: When the Muslims were routed on the day of Hunayn, Umm Sulaym called out, "O Messenger of Allah, kill whoever comes after us, those who fled!" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "O Umm Sulaym, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has sufficed." He said: Abu Talha came to her, and she had a dagger with her. He said, "What is this, O Umm Sulaym?" She said, "If any of the polytheists comes near me, I will rip him open with it." Abu Talha said, "O Messenger of Allah, see what Umm Sulaym is saying!" Ya'qub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, Humayd al-Tawil narrated to me, from Anas ibn Malik, from Abd Allah ibn Salam, who said: When I wanted to embrace Islam, I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, "I am going to ask you." He said, "Ask whatever occurs to you." He said: I said, "What is the first thing the people of Paradise will eat?" And he mentioned the hadith.
