حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلِحْيَتِهِ عِشْرُونَ شَعَرَةً بَيْضَاءَ وَخَضَبَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ وَخَضَبَ عُمَرُ بِالْحِنَّاءِ.

Mu'tamir told us, from Humayd, from Anas, who said: There were not twenty white hairs in the head and beard of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Abu Bakr dyed [his hair] with henna and katam, and Umar dyed with henna.
