حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ أَوْ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ وَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَيَكُونُ أُمَرَاءُ يَغْشَاهُمْ غَوَاشٍ أَوْ حَوَاشٍ مِنْ النَّاسِ يَظْلِمُونَ وَيَكْذِبُونَ فَمَنْ أَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ وَصَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَا أَنَا مِنْهُ وَمَنْ لَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَأَنَا مِنْهُ وَهُوَ مِنِّي.

Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'ba told us, who said: I heard Qatada relate from Sulayman, or Abu Sulayman - and Hajjaj said: Shu'ba told me - and a man of Quraysh said: from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "There will be rulers over whom will gather a covering, or hangers-on, of people who wrong and lie. Whoever helps them in their wrongdoing and believes their lies is not of me, and I am not of him. And whoever does not believe their lies nor helps them in their wrongdoing is of me, and I am of him."
