حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَوْ أَخِيهِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِهِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي قَدْ أُرِيتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ ثُمَّ أُنْسِيتُهَا وَرَأَيْتُ أَنَّ فِي ذِرَاعِي سِوَارَيْنِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَكَرِهْتُهُمَا فَنَفَخْتُهُمَا فَطَارَا فَأَوَّلْتُهُمَا هَذَيْنِ الْكَذَّابَيْنِ صَاحِبَ الْيَمَنِ وَصَاحِبَ الْيَمَامَةِ.

Ya'qub told us, his father told us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn Qusayt told me, from Ata' ibn Yasar, or his brother Sulayman ibn Yasar, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was delivering a sermon to the people on his pulpit, saying: 'O people, I was indeed shown the Night of Decree, then I was made to forget it. And I saw that on my forearm were two golden bracelets, and I disliked them, so I blew on them and they flew away. I interpreted them as these two liars: the man of Yemen and the man of Yamama.'"
