حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَسُرَيْجٌ قَالَا ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ بِشْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْكُرَّاثِ وَالْبَصَلِ وَالثُّومِ فَقُلْنَا أَحَرَامٌ هُوَ قَالَ لَا وَلَكِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْهُ.

Yunus and Surayj told us, they said: Hammad told us, from Bishr, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade leeks, onions, and garlic. So we said: "Is it forbidden?" He said: "No, but the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade it."
