حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بُرْدَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُلْ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالسَّدَادَ وَاذْكُرْ بِالْهُدَى هِدَايَتَكَ الطَّرِيقَ وَاذْكُرْ بِالسَّدَادِ تَسْدِيدَكَ السَّهْمَ قَالَ وَنَهَى أَوْ نَهَانِي عَنْ الْقَسِّيِّ وَالْمِيثَرَةِ وَعَنْ الْخَاتَمِ فِي السَّبَّابَةِ أَوْ الْوُسْطَى.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It was narrated that `Asim bin Kulaib said: I heard Abu Burdah say: I heard `Hadrat Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be well pleased with him) say: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: `Say: O Allah, I ask You for guidance and proper aim. When you ask for guidance, think of directions when travelling, and when you ask for proper aim, think of aiming an arrow.” And he forbade - or forbade me - to wear garments made from a blend of linen and silk, to use red saddle cloths, or to wear a ring on the forefinger or middle finger.
