حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْعَلَاءَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ عَنْ الْإِزَارِ فَقَالَ عَلَى الْخَبِيرِ سَقَطْتَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِزْرَةُ الْمُسْلِمِ إِلَى نِصْفِ السَّاقِ وَلَا حَرَجَ أَوْ لَا جُنَاحَ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ فَمَا كَانَ أَسْفَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَفِي النَّارِ مَنْ جَرَّ إِزَارَهُ بَطَرًا لَمْ يَنْظُرْ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: I heard al-Ala' ibn Abd al-Rahman narrating from his father, who said: I asked Abu Sa'id al-Khudri about the lower garment, and he said: "You have asked one who knows. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'The lower garment of a Muslim should reach halfway down the shin, and there is no blame — or no sin — in what is between that and the ankles; whatever is below that is in the Fire. Whoever drags his lower garment out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him.'"
