Waki' told us: Ibn Abi Layla told us, from 'Atiyyah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Charity is not lawful for a wealthy person, except for three: one fighting in the way of God, a stranded traveler, and a man who had a neighbor to whom he gave charity, and the neighbor then gave him a gift in return."
