حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ سَمِعَ عَمْرًا عَنْ عَتَّابِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ لَا أَدْرِي مَنْ عَتَّابٌ لَوْ أَمْسَكَ اللَّهُ الْقَطْرَ عَنْ النَّاسِ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَهُ لَأَصْبَحَتْ طَائِفَةٌ بِهِ كَافِرِينَ يَقُولُونَ مُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ الْمِجْدَحِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Sufyan told us, he heard Amr, from Attab ibn Hunayn, narrating from Abu Sa'id, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said - and Sufyan said: I do not know who Attab is - "If Allah were to withhold rain from the people for seven years and then send it down, a group of them would wake up disbelieving on account of it, saying: 'We were given rain by the rising or setting of such-and-such a star.'"
