حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَّا أَهْلُ النَّارِ الَّذِينَ هُمْ أَهْلُهَا لَا يَمُوتُونَ وَلَا يَحْيَوْنَ وَأَمَّا أُنَاسٌ يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ بِهِمْ الرَّحْمَةَ فَيُمِيتُهُمْ فِي النَّارِ فَيَدْخُلُ عَلَيْهِمْ الشُّفَعَاءُ فَيَأْخُذُ الرَّجُلُ أَنْصَارَهُ فَيَبُثُّهُمْ أَوْ قَالَ فَيَنْبُتُونَ عَلَى نَهَرِ الْحَيَاءِ أَوْ قَالَ الْحَيَوَانِ أَوْ قَالَ الْحَيَاةِ أَوْ قَالَ نَهَرِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيَنْبُتُونَ نَبَاتَ الْحِبَّةِ فِي حَمِيلِ السَّيْلِ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَا تَرَوْنَ الشَّجَرَةَ تَكُونُ خَضْرَاءَ ثُمَّ تَكُونُ صَفْرَاءَ أَوْ قَالَ تَكُونُ صَفْرَاءَ ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خَضْرَاءَ قَالَ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ كَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ بِالْبَادِيَةِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Abi Adiyy told us, from Sulayman - meaning al-Taymi - from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "As for the people of the Fire who are its permanent inhabitants, they neither die nor live; but as for people whom Allah intends mercy for, He causes them to die in the Fire, then the intercessors are admitted in to them, and a man takes his supporters and spreads them out" - or he said "and they sprout upon the river of life" - or he said "of living things" - or he said "of life" - or he said "the river of Paradise" - "and they sprout as a seed sprouts in the silt carried by a flood." He said: Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do you not see how a tree is green, then becomes yellow" - or he said "is yellow, then becomes green"? He said: Then some of them said: "It is as if the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had been in the desert."
