حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ وَشَهْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي بِثَلَاثٍ أَنْ لَا أَنَامَ إِلَّا عَلَى وِتْرٍ وَأَنْ أَصُومَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ وَأَنْ لَا أَدَعَ رَكْعَتَيْ الضُّحَى.

Mu'tamir told us, from Layth, from Mujahid and Shahr, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: "My close friend enjoined upon me three things: that I not sleep except after praying witr, that I fast three days from every month, and that I not abandon the two rak'ahs of Duha."
