حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِذَا رَأَيْتُكَ طَابَتْ نَفْسِي وَقَرَّتْ عَيْنِي فَأَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَقَالَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ خُلِقَ مِنْ مَاءٍ قَالَ فَأَنْبِئْنِي بِعَمَلٍ إِنْ عَمِلْتُ بِهِ دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ أَفْشِ السَّلَامَ وَأَطِبْ الْكَلَامَ وَصِلْ الْأَرْحَامَ وَقُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ تَدْخُلْ الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
'Abd al-Samad told us: Hammam told us: Qatadah told us, from Abu Maymunah, from Abu Hurayrah, that he came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, when I see you my soul rejoices and my eye is comforted, so tell me about everything." He said: "Everything was created from water." He said: "Then tell me of a deed which, if I do it, will make me enter Paradise." He said: "Spread the greeting of peace, speak good words, uphold the ties of kinship, and pray at night while people are asleep — you will enter Paradise in peace."
